Striving for Excellence

The Fairview Christian Academy is a discipleship ministry of the Fairview Baptist Church. From its inception, the academy has maintained a single vision of assisting parents in making their children disciples of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through the process of "striving for excellence."

FCA strives for excellence in academics. Since we do not know what God has for each specific child, we are determined to offer an education that will stretch him to his fullest potential. FCA is fully accredited through the SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) and Tennessee Association of Christian Schools. Our teachers hold certificates for the area in which they teach. Both our elementary and high school test scores rank above the national and state norms. In addition, we exceed state standards by offering a full 26 credit college preparatory diploma. Academically, our students are prepared to do whatever God calls them to do.
Fairview strives for excellence in extracurricular activities. God gives each of us talents that He expects us to hone and use for Him. Whether in the areas of athletics, music, drama or art, extracurricular activities allow our students to use the talents that God gave them for His glory. And whether their talents are many or few, it is our desire that God will look at the accomplishments of each and declare "well done, thou good and faithful servant."

Most importantly, the Fairview Christian Academy strives for excellence in living. We train our students to look at life through the lens of God's Word. This is accomplished by promoting Biblically-based standards and incorporating a Biblically-integrated curriculum and teaching process. Faculty-guided morning devotions, Bible classes, and weekly chapel services all aid in this process.

A single thread of rope is strong, and three threads side-by-side, even stronger. However, they can never compare to the strength gained when the three are braided together with one objective. In order to achieve true success, there must be a three-fold braid of cooperation between the home, the church, and the school. All three must commit to team together if we are to make an impact on the student's mind, his will, and his actions.
