Admissions

Enrollment Process

1. Interview and Tour

Because protecting the culture of FCA is the priority of administration, prospective students are required to interview with FCA administration. While the administration is interviewing the student to assess cultural fit, parents are encouraged to also be interviewing the administration to see if the school is a good fit for their student. At the conclusion of the interview, the administration will take the student and family on a tour of the FCA facilities.

2. Application Submission

After completing the interview and tour, all prospective students must complete an application. This application may be completed online. Students in grades 9-12 will be required to provide a pastoral reference with their application.

3. Academic Testing/Evaluation

Following submission of the application, the academy office will schedule placement testing to be completed by the student at a time convenient for the student and academy.

4. Notice of Application Decision

Based on the interview and evaluations, the academy administration will render an application decision within one week of the completed application and testing. This decision will be communicated via mail once determined.

Students may be accepted on a probationary basis if their prior grades or conduct is not satisfactory for acceptance in good standing. Students who test below their grade level in mathematics and English Language Arts may be required to repeat a grade. These choices for acceptance or denial will be communicated in the application decision.

If a student is accepted to Fairview Christian Academy, registration will be required. All paperwork and associated fees must be completed prior to the student being fully registered. A student may be accepted to Fairview Christian Academy yet placed on a waitlist if the student's class is full. The required registration paperwork includes:

  • Pastoral Reference Form
  • Statement of Cooperation (signed by parents and student)
  • Tennessee Certificate of Immunization
  • Birth Certificate
  • Permission for Medical Attention/Release from Liability
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest Form
  • Records Request (if not emailed from school office)

Students must reach the chronological age required for a given grade by August 15 to be placed in that grade.
